The Holy Spirit is preparing a Bride (the Church) for the Bridegroom (Christ). The ministry of inner healing is the beautification of the Bride. The Spirit desires to take away the “spots and wrinkles”. There is only one Church and so can only be one Bride. The Spirit joins together true believer with true believer as He works the work of purifying the Body. The Church must receive this beautifying and unifying work. Understand that not everything which calls itself Christian, is!

After 40 days of temptation in the wilderness, Jesus returned to Galilee, how? “In the power of the Spirit” and began teaching in the synagogues. When He came to Nazareth, He went to the synagogue there as well. He stood and was given the scroll of the prophet Isaiah and found the passage we just read. Luke records this for us in chapter 4, starting at verse 4 we read, (4:20-21), 20 … He [Jesus] rolled up the scroll, and gave it back to the attendant and sat down. And the eyes of all who were in the synagogue were fixed on Him. 21 And He began to say to them, “Today this Scripture is fulfilled in your hearing.”

The work of Beautifying and Unifying the Body is promised and is now being made manifest with these words. It is purposed to bring inner healing to the bruised.
